Scope of Services

The service: National Rug Cleaners (“NRC”) agrees to provide professional rug cleaning services to the Client, which include:

Dusting, shampooing, sanitizing, deodorizing, and vacuuming of rugs.

1. 1. Pricing:
      Calculated by square foot with a minimum flat rate for rugs under 37 square feet.

• Pickup and Delivery:

• NRC provides free pickup and delivery services.

• If there is heavy furniture or an extremely large rug, a second person is needed, for which NRC will charge an extra $150 for labor.

• NRC is not liable for property damage or personal injury caused during pickup or delivery.

• Turnaround Time for Cleaning:

• NRC requires 10 business days for cleaning, which includes drying, stain treatment, and delivery coordination.

• Turnaround times may be extended during high-volume periods or extreme weather conditions.

• We will send a text message when the rugs are “Ready for Delivery.”

• If there is no reply, NRC will call to schedule.

• If contact was not established by either side within 30 days from the initial “Ready for Delivery” text, storage fees will be added at 15% of the invoice’s cleaning value per month.

Special Treatment Policies

Stains:

• NRC will make every effort to remove stains but does not guarantee complete removal.

• Some hidden stains may become visible after cleaning due to improved contrast with the lighter color of the cleaned rug.

• NRC will rewash and attempt to remove stains up to three times.

Odor:

• NRC will attempt to eliminate odors, including pet accident odors.

• Tufted rugs may retain odors that cannot be fully removed.

Mold and Mildew:

• Rugs are sanitized and specially treated to remove mold and mildew.

• Clients must unroll the rug in an aired, dry room immediately upon receipt to prevent further growth of mold or mildew.

Moth:

• NRC will treat rugs with moth repellent but cannot guarantee full removal of moth eggs.

• Clients are advised to clean other upholstery thoroughly to avoid spread.

• Clients must unroll the rug in an aired, dry room immediately upon receipt.

Repairs:

• Machine-Made Repairs: up to 7 days (additional to cleaning).

• Handmade Repairs: Turnaround time will be individually assessed.

Storage:

• Self-storage at the client’s location for over 3 months: Please ask us for Tyvek wrapping for your rug (charges apply). This is a “breathing” material.

• Storage at NRC facilities: Once your cleaning bill is paid, we offer the first 30 days free of charge. A storage fee of 10% of the invoice’s value will be added automatically per each month of storage.

• Clients who neglected to contact NRC within 30 days from the “Ready for Delivery” message, and NRC was not able to contact, will be charged for storage as listed above. Rugs left unpaid for over 90 days may be sold to recover costs without further notice.

Payment Terms

• Due Date: Payment is due upon delivery.

• Deposit: For jobs Over $500, a deposit of 50% is required at pickup.

• Payment Methods: Cash, check, debit/credit (4% processing fee), ACH, Venmo, or Zelle.

• Tips: Drivers may be tipped via cash or Venmo.

Limited Liability

• NRC will do our absolute best to return your rug to the best possible condition. That being said, some things we cannot control:

• NRC will not be held responsible for shrinkage, fading, texture changes, loosening of backing glue, dye runs, appearance of white knots, development of tears or holes, dry rot, latex issues, or any other defects occurring in the cleaning process.

• If NRC has the means to correct the damage, it will be done to the best of our ability.

• If NRC does not have the means to correct the damage, NRC’s liability for damages is limited to the lesser of the amounts outlined in Table 1 or a refund of service charges paid.

Table 1: Maximum Liability

• Antique Rug: $1,500 Maximum Liability

• Handmade Rug: $1,000 Maximum Liability

• Machine-Made Rug: $500 Maximum Liability

Excess Valuation:

• Clients may declare a higher value for their goods in writing, subject to verification by a credible source and approval by NRC, for which a 3.5% charge will apply.

• Declared Value: should be stated in the estimate

Insurance

• Clients are responsible for maintaining insurance coverage for all hazards and risks. If no insurance is held, the Client accepts the limited liability terms outlined above.

• Claims must be submitted in writing within 10 days of rug delivery.

Additional Terms and Conditions

• Telephone estimates are subject to change upon physical inspection of rugs (especially if size estimate is incorrect).

• Rugs are returned rolled and wrapped in plastic.

• Rugs should be taken out of the wrapper immediately after delivery and inspected.

• Issues arising from prolonged storage in plastic are the Client’s responsibility.

• Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration conducted in Camden County, New Jersey, with each party bearing their own costs.
